This is the first workshop dedicated to making a particular type of ring - in this class we will be cutting flowers out of thick silver sheet, shaping them into beautiful organic shapes and attaching them to a ring you have designed and made. *see photos above*
These silversmith workshops are a beautiful "taste tester" into the world of smithing and jewellery making. If you have ever wanted to pop your toes into the water of creating silver jewellery than this is the class for you! These classes are a fun and relaxed way to experiment with your creativity and get your hands moulding and making metal jewellery.
This will be the perfect relaxed setting for you to experiment with a new medium and learn some new skills!
You will explore techniques such as:
- Sawing.
- Drilling.
- Filing.
- Sanding.
- Polishing.
- Soldering.
- Shape and forge a piece of metal.
- How to make a ring to size.
- How to use a jewellers saw frame.
In this workshop you with come away with 1 - 2 pieces of handcrafted jewellery that will last you a life time!
